Wild Plants of Netham Park, Sun 3rd May : 2pm - 3.30pm

Walking around the hedgerows and open fields of Netham Park, we will learn how common wild plants are traditionally used in recipes and remedies.

We will learn what these plants feel like, look like and taste like to build confidence in finding and using wild food and medicine around us.

What to bring: a notepad if you like to draw or take notes, comfortable and weather appropriate shoes/ clothes and a drink of water.

Travel: buses from the city centre include 5, 41, 48, including some walking.

Please post on the group if you’d like a lift and we can carpool where possible.

There are gates and railings to lock up bikes and there is some free residential parking around the park.

Accessibility: this walk will be slow paced, but may involve some muddy paths and unsuitable for wheelchairs.

What to bring: a notepad if you like to draw or take notes, comfortable and weather appropriate shoes/ clothes and a drink of water.

Travel: buses from the city centre include 44, 16, 43 and 45.

There are gates and railings to lock up bikes and there is some free residential parking in surrounding residential roads.

Accessibility: this walk will be slow paced, mostly on the paved paths but may involve some muddy grassy bits.
