A group of 1,286 people learning how to find and use wild plants in the city of Bristol
We've been running these meet ups since 2020 and they’re the reason Healing Weeds exists. We’ve now grown into a group of regulars, each walk always has a mix of new faces and familiar faces. Come as you are, take what you need and connect with other people.
Our regular foraging social meet ups are open to anyone; no previous experience needed. Just people, plants and slowing down in nature together. Oh, and delish shared lunches!

What happens at a Community Meet Up
You show up to a Bristol green space and meet people who are curious about the same things - wildlife, plants and the rest of nature!
Maria, or one of our community guides, will lead you as we collectively share what's growing, how to identify different things and how you might use any in medicine. We handle plants, have space for questions and share what we notice. You’ll leave knowing at least three new plants and even more new people, a few friends in every sense!
Who comes to our Meet Ups
Everyone.
People who've never foraged before. People who've been coming for years. Families, solo learners, older adults, younger people, those looking to get nerdy about plants outside!
Everyone shares facts that they’ve heard, questions they have or recipes they’ve tried.
Wild plant knowledge has always moved between people, so we continue this tradition!
