Welcome to our collective of nerdy nature lovers!
We've been running social meet ups since 2020 and they’re the reason Healing Weeds exists.
We share how to find and use wild plants, books we love, campaigns to join and wild food picnics.
Each walk always has a mix of new and familiar faces, so come as you are and connect with new people.

What happens at a Community Meet Up
You show up to a Bristol green space and meet new people who want to learn and share in spending time outside.
Maria, founder and main community guides, will be there to greet you, and one of our community members will show you how to identify different parts of nature - and how you might use any as food, craft or medicine.
Our walks are a space for anyone to lead (we handle admin and make space for our members to facilitate the rest) - anyone can suggest a new location or share facts about nature in our sessions.
We aim for everyone to leave our sessions knowing new plants and making new friends!
Who comes to our Meet Ups
Anyone and everyone!
People who've never foraged before, people who've been coming for years, people looking for friends, people wanting to hang with their own, families, solo learners, older adults, younger people - honesly anyone looking to get curious, playful and nerdy about nature!
Everyone has freedom and space to share facts that they’ve heard, ask questions they have been brewing over or recipes they’ve tried.
Wild plant knowledge has always moved between people, so we meet to continue this tradition!
