Green Team: Spring Equinox

Join us for a guided interactive session with herbalist and forager Maria Fernandez Garcia. We will delve into the relics of ancient tales about herbal medicines and wild plants, understanding their significance beyond pure fairytale. We want to offer new ways to engage with our most beloved and forgotten neighbours by creating new collective memories together. This session will involve group discussions, creative practices, personal reflections and practical activities. You will leave with more connections, knowledge and confidence to grow your relationship with the plants around you.

The Arnolfini Green Team consists of a group of staff members from across the organisation working together to make Arnolfini a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly place to visit. They work across projects to reduce the organisation’s carbon footprint and waste, and raise environmental awareness with our staff and visitors. Their work is a key part of Arnolfini’s commitment to sustainability and making a positive environmental impact.

Maria Fernandez Garcia is the founder of Healing Weeds, a Bristol-based foraging school teaching people how to find and use medicinal plants in urban spaces. She believes everyone has the right to access the physical and mental health benefits of nature and shares experimental walks and workshops with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
